February: great time to go skiing. And some super Easter offers

Let’s be frank. The Pyrenees will never have quite the same cachet as the Alps when it comes to skiing. But in a way, that’s its greatest attraction. The pistes tend to attract more locals and fewer tourists. Great resorts, such as Font Romeu, are only an 80 minute drive from the Villa .

The snow has been fantastic this year, and the villa is ideal for people who want to have a good week’s break, but don’t want to spend it trapped in a ski resort. Why not alternate day’s skiing with a trip to the beautiful seaside town of Coulliure, or a day trip to Barcelona. Gourmets should also get their skates on. Now is the time to enjoy extensive wine tours, food tasting at Maison Pare, just ten minutes away.

Easter is also a great time to visit. Spring in this part of France is truly stunning, with the temperatures in the 20’s centigrate. The blossom on the cherry trees in Ceret and around Fourques is truly invigorating. We also have fantastic offers around the Easter weekend for families who want to avoid the price spikes at other villas or hotels at this time of year.
