End of a long, hot summer

It’s been another good summer in Fourques and even now, mid-September, the temperature is in the mid-20s centigrade.

We’ve also started to get feedback from people who have stayed this year. Getting comments back from visitors is vital for us and while it’s great to hear that people had a good time, we are always on the look out for ways we can improve the villa and the garden.

Here are a couple of examples from this summer:

The Villa is well equipped and was presented clean and tidy. The information given to us prior to the holiday was very informative and accurate.

It is a good base for the Pyreness and coast alike although a car is essential.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this Villa we had a very enjoyable stay helped by Good Weather and the Local Wine Caves!

And another:

Just back from a great holiday in Fourques. The house and location could not have been better for us. It was a great base to explore the area for fantastic scenery, great food and wine. The pool area was a great place just to relax and it is where we had all our meals. Walking distance to local shops and short drive to larger supermarkets. Would not hesitate in recommending.

Requests for next year include  an area for playing boules, night-time lighting for the pool and also the barbeque, which we hope to add over the winter.

If you stayed at the villa, let us know what you think. And if you’re thinking of visiting but you’re not certain whether we have exactly what you’re looking for, drop us a line or call and we’ll let you know for sure.
